// background
I'm a full-stack engineer who's spent the last several years building production AI systems — from SVMs and gradient-boosted trees to LLM pipelines and self-hosted inference. The kind of work where reliability isn't optional and compliance isn't an afterthought.
Most of my recent work has been in healthcare — training classification models, building feature pipelines, and shipping LLM-powered features in HIPAA-regulated environments. I've built systems used by hundreds of thousands of users.
I started consulting because I kept seeing the same pattern: smart teams with real problems getting burned by AI hype — either by vendors selling demos as products, or by underestimating what it takes to run AI in production. I help close that gap.

// how I think about AI work
Production > demos
A notebook that works on your laptop isn't a product. I care about the boring parts — error handling, monitoring, cost, latency, edge cases.
Docs > decks
Written recommendations that your team can reference in six months. Not a 40-slide presentation that lives in someone's inbox.
Honest > optimistic
If AI isn't the right tool for your problem, I'll tell you. I'd rather lose an engagement than set you up for failure.
